The 5th Annual Go Red Makeover Challenge.
There will be 10 applicants chosen to participate in the Go Red Makeover Challenge will take part in a 10-week heart health makeover. Each participant will take part in an initial wellness screening where height, weight, blood pressure, cholesterol, -HDL/LDL, triglycerides, BMI and blood glucose will be measured. The women will have an initial consultation with a cardiologist, a registered dietician, and an initial fitness evaluation with a personal trainer along with a free 10 week membership to local gym. Following the 10 week challenge, each woman will have a final evaluation with follow up lab work, the cardiologist, dietitian and personal trainer. The woman who most greatly reduces her cardiac risk will be crowned the winner.
This year we are looking for mother/daughter teams as well. The Go Red Makeover Challenge Committee is seeking young women from the ages of 13-18 along with their mothers to participate in this heart healthy lifestyle journey.
